ACI EUROPE – Policy Outlook for Europe's Airport
Exambela Consulting is pleased to announce the publication of the Policy Outlook for Europe’s Airports “Facing the Challenges of the 21st Century,” produced by ACI EUROPE and its membership, in association with Exambela Consulting.
The Policy Outlook reflects the business transformation which European airports have undergone in recent years, primarily driven by increasing competition and changing attitudes from governments. Taking stock of the new economic fundamentals in the aftermath of the global economic crisis, the publication advocates a new way of looking at airports – treating them as businesses in their own right.
Looking ahead, the Policy Outlook calls upon the European institutions to proactively address the 4 major challenges that Europe’s airports are facing today, tomorrow and in the decades to come: Airport Capacity, the Environment, Global Connectivity and Aviation Security.
An electronic copy of the ACI EUROPE’s Policy Outlook can be downloaded by clicking here.

Exambela 2009 European Airport Leadership Peer Survey
To better understand how different airports compare on'quality of management', Exambela Consulting asked airport leaders themselves what they thought of each other. This peer survey is an update of the 2006 Exambela European Airport leadership survey.- Exambela Consulting surveyed senior management at leading European airports and asked them to indicate which of their peers they would place among the best performers ('best in class') in terms of the eight different management criteria:
- Whilst surveys of passengers identifying their preferred airport are relatively frequent, it is believed that this is the first time that management of leading European airports have been asked to rate their peers.
- The airport industry is a relatively small and close-knit group, and Exambela expected that managers largely would agree on which airports are among the better managed.
